Pool Swim Jets

What each swim jet needs to be installed

Prices and specs read Nov 4, 2026. Sources listed at the bottom.

The X Series clamps onto your pool edge with no tools or wiring, but it only fits if your edge and walls meet a short list of measurements. The P Series gets drilled into the edge and needs power run to it, and iGarden's own pages disagree on a few of the details.

Measure before you order. If the edge of your pool doesn't suit the bracket, no setting on the unit will fix that.

X Series: clamp-on, battery powered

Covers the X Lite, X Air, X5 and X Pro 10. The jet hangs on the edge and a separate battery box sits beside the pool. Nothing is drilled, plumbed or wired.

What to measureWhat the maker saysHow solid it is
Pool sizeAt least about 7 by 13 ft (2 by 4 m)Three sources agree. Two reviews say 8 by 8 ft, which looks unreliable.
Water depthDeeper than 30 inches to mount. About 3.5 ft to swim well.See the pool-size page for why
Edge overhang (coping)Less than 4 inchesiGarden's store page only
Top of edge to waterlineLess than 16 inchesiGarden's store page only
WallsStraight and vertical work best. Inflatable pools not recommended.Store page and iGarden's above-ground guide
Safety tetherMust attach to a fixed anchoriGarden's store page only
Wi-Fi2.4 GHz only. A 5 GHz network won't connect.Store page and one review agree
ChargingNot within about 11.5 ft (3.5 m) of the pool, and not while it's runningiGarden's store page only
WeightThe jet is about 31 lb. The power box is separate.Three sources agree

Two more details. The jet has to stay fully underwater when it runs, and running it dry voids the warranty. Also, none of the pages give the length of the cable between the jet and the battery box, which matters if your deck is awkward.

P Series: drilled in, plugged into house power

Covers the P100, P160, P200 and P230. A bracket bolts through the pool edge, and a control box connects to household power.

The power question

This is where the sources fight. iGarden's support article lists 100 to 120 volts for the US. The pwice.com roundup says a 240-volt circuit is suggested and, for the P230, a 20-amp breaker minimum. iGarden's electrical article says a licensed electrician is needed to connect the power supply, while its support article recommends one only outside the US and Australia.

That can't be settled from published pages. The safer move: before ordering, send the electrician who would do the job the model number and ask them to read iGarden's installation sheet. Hiring one is the safer assumption near a pool whatever the support page says.

What installing a P Series costs

iGarden's install guide puts mounting and electrical work at $500 to $2,000. The store page lists an installation service at $0, crossed out from $699, and says it's free "during the sale", with no end date given. If you're counting on the free install, ask what the price is the day you order. Install takes 2 to 3 hours, per the store page.

All read Nov 4, 2026. iGarden X Series store page (measurements, tether, Wi-Fi, charging distance, weight), P Series store page (edge width, height, kits, install service), install guide, electrical article, support: power, support: minimum pool size. Outside: pwice.com, basic-tutorials.com. Most of these are the maker's own pages, so "agree" often means iGarden agrees with iGarden.
